Terms of Service

Who we are

Voice My Stories is operated by WisGen AI (ABN 27 484 579 859), a business based in Sydney, Australia. You can reach us at info@voicemystories.com. These terms are the agreement between you and us about your use of Voice My Stories. By using it, you accept them.

What Voice My Stories is

Voice My Stories is a private notebook for family and life stories. You record yourself talking or you type, and Voice My Stories keeps what you make in stories you can edit, reorder and download. Recordings are transcribed by a machine: often very good, sometimes wrong. Read what it gives you before you rely on it.

Your stories are private to your account. Voice My Stories does not publish anything, and there is no way for another account to see what you write.

Plans

Voice My Stories has three plans.

  • Free. 1 space and 60 minutes of recording a month. You can share the space with a family member, and typing is unlimited.
  • Plus — US$9.99 a month, including tax. Up to 3 spaces and 20 hours of recording a month.
  • Pro — US$19.99 a month, including tax. Up to 15 spaces and 50 hours of recording a month.

A paid plan (Plus or Pro) covers every space in the account. Its price includes tax: whatever tax applies is part of the price, never added on top.

On every plan, downloading and exporting are free.

Recording time runs by month, for the whole account: every space shares it. On the Free plan your month starts on the day of the month you joined — join on 20 March, and it starts again on 20 April. On a paid plan it starts on the day you subscribed, each time your plan renews. Every minute you record counts, whether you keep the recording, download it or delete it: deleting a recording does not give its minutes back.

On every plan, everything you record is kept: there is no limit on how many hours of recordings you keep. After a paid plan ends it all stays, and you can still record the Free plan's minutes each month.

When you reach a limit, nothing is taken away: you can still read, play, export and download your stories. You just can't add more of that thing until there is room — when your next month starts, or by moving to a bigger plan. There is no lifetime plan.

Plans apply from 21 October 2026.

How a paid plan renews

This is a subscription. A paid plan renews automatically at its price, including tax, until you cancel: Plus every month at US$9.99, Pro every month at US$19.99. The Plan page always shows the date of your next renewal.

If the price is going to change, we tell you before your renewal and you can cancel first.

Charges appear on your card statement under the name shown at checkout.

You can move between paid plans on the Plan page. Moving to a bigger plan starts at once: you pay the difference, including tax, for the rest of your current month and get that share of its extra hours this month; from your next renewal you pay its full price. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at your next renewal; until then you keep your current plan and its hours, and you can undo the move on the Plan page. Nothing is deleted when you move.

Cancelling

You can cancel online at any time, in one step, on the Plan page. You don't need to call us or give a reason.

Cancelling stops the next charge. You keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for, and then your account moves to Free.

Refunds and your right to withdraw

If you withdraw within 14 days of your first payment for a paid plan, we refund that payment in full to the card you paid with, within 14 days. To withdraw, email us at support@voicemystories.com (from the address on the account if you can, so we can find it quickly); the day you send the email counts. If you paid with a card from the European Union (or from Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway), you can also use Withdraw from contract here on the Plan page.

After those 14 days, and for renewals, we don't give refunds for a change of mind, but you keep the plan until the end of the month you've paid for. If a renewal charge looks wrong, email us at support@voicemystories.com.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and under the consumer law of the country where you live, come first: see Refunds.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period ends 14 days after the day you bought the plan.

To withdraw, email the form below, or any other clear statement, to support@voicemystories.com (from the address on the account if you can, so we can find it quickly). You are in time if you send it before the 14 days end: the day you send it counts. If you paid with a card from the European Union (or from Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway), you can also use Withdraw from contract here on the Plan page. We confirm receipt straight away.

You asked us to start your plan straight away. The law would let us keep a share for the days you used; we refund the full amount instead.

Model withdrawal form — fill it in and send it only if you want to withdraw:

  • To WisGen AI, support@voicemystories.com.
  • I give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: Voice My Stories paid plan (Plus or Pro).
  • Ordered on: ____.
  • Name: ____.
  • Email address of the account: ____.
  • Date: ____.

When a paid plan ends

Your account moves to Free: everything you have made stays — you can read, play, download and delete it — and you can record 60 minutes a month again. Nothing is deleted. To add more than the Free plan allows — more spaces, or more recording each month — you'll need a paid plan again.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to have an account. One account per person; keep your sign-in details to yourself.

An account can hold more than one person — for example a family. You decide who uses your account, and you are responsible for what they do there, including a family member who records into it.

Anyone who uses a recorder login you set up must also be 18 or older. If we learn that a child under 13 has used Voice My Stories, we will delete that child's information.

Your content

Your recordings, text and corrections stay yours. We take only the licence we need to run the service for you: to store your content, to show it back to you, and to send your audio to the transcription service that turns it into text.

We do not train anything on your content unless you ask us to. Our transcription service is told, on every recording, not to keep your audio for training. Two consent boxes are offered when an account is created, both unticked; the Privacy Policy explains what each one means and how to change your mind.

You are responsible for what you put into Voice My Stories. Put in only what is lawful and what you have the right to put in. If someone makes a claim against us because content you put in Voice My Stories broke the law or these terms, you are responsible for that claim, to the extent the law allows.

What is not allowed

You must not use Voice My Stories — and must not let anyone using your account use it — to make, store or share:

  • child sexual abuse or exploitation material, in any form, including written descriptions and fiction;
  • material that promotes, instructs or supports terrorism or violent extremism;
  • intimate images or recordings of a person shared without their consent;
  • anything that grooms a child, or threatens to share intimate material to get something from someone (sextortion);
  • threats or harassment, including through a recording made for someone else;
  • anything else that is illegal where you are or in Australia, or that you do not have the right to use.

Do not try to reach another account's data, do not work around the limits of the service, do not run automated bulk use through it, and do not resell it.

How reports are handled

We do not read or scan your stories. Anyone who sees something that should not be in Voice My Stories can report it — in the app with Report a problem, or by email; the Safety page explains how.

  • When an item is reported, we hide it straight away, without reading it, while we look into it. It stays stored, unchanged, until we decide.
  • We may suspend an account while a report is looked into, and we may close an account that breaks these terms.
  • Where a report gives us reasonable grounds to believe an item is child sexual abuse material or terrorist material, we report the account's details to the police, keep the item stored in case they lawfully ask for it, and then remove it.
  • We have the right, but not the obligation, to review, hide or remove content and to suspend or close accounts. Where we are able to, we tell you what we did and why.
  • If you think we got it wrong, email support@voicemystories.com and we will look at it again.

Keeping your stories

We take reasonable care of what you store, but no service can promise to keep anything forever, and we don't.

Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose: all of a story's recordings can be downloaded as one zip from the story's page (Download audio), its words exported as PDF or Word (Export story), and any single recording downloaded from its player.

Voice My Stories is provided as it is, without a promise of uptime, and we may change parts of it while we build, within the limits in Changes below.

Deleting things

Items you delete go to the Deleted section, where you can restore them until you delete them for good.

Delete for good erases the item — its words and its recordings — from Voice My Stories straight away, and it cannot be restored. One exception: an item under a report is kept, hidden, until the report is closed — see How reports are handled.

Copies kept by our storage and backup systems are never used and are erased automatically within 35 days.

Accounts nobody uses

If an account without a paid plan has not been signed into for 2 years — by its owner or through any of its recorder logins — we will email the account holder at least three times over the final 3 months. Each email gives the date the account and everything in it will be deleted.

Signing in once keeps the account. If we could not send those emails, we will not delete the account.

Accounts with a paid plan are never deleted for not being used.

If Voice My Stories closes

If we decide to close Voice My Stories, we will tell you by email and on this site at least 90 days before. Downloads keep working until the last day.

If you have paid for time after the closing date, we refund that unused part.

Card disputes

If something is wrong with a payment, please email us first; we will sort it out quickly. Filing a dispute with your bank never stops you downloading your stories.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for failing to use reasonable care and skill where your local law says that can't be limited.

Apart from that, and only as far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of US$50 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss we could not reasonably have foreseen.

Machine transcription can be wrong; it is yours to check and correct.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time by writing to support@voicemystories.com from the account's email address. Cancel a paid plan first on the Plan page, or ask us to in the same email.

Download what you want to keep first. We delete your content from Voice My Stories straight away and from backups within 35 days.

We keep payment records for as long as tax law requires. An item under a report is kept for as long as the police may need it, then removed.

Changes to prices, plans and these terms

We may change prices, plans or these terms only for these reasons:

  • a change in the law or a regulator's guidance;
  • security or preventing abuse;
  • a change in what our suppliers (hosting, transcription, payments) charge us;
  • adding or improving features;
  • or inflation.

If a change is worse for you, it applies only from your next renewal, never in the middle of a month you have paid for. We email you at least 90 days before, and again in the 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before renewal at no cost.

The one exception is a change the law or security forces on us in the middle of a month you have paid for. If it makes the service noticeably worse for you, you can cancel within 30 days of our notice and we refund the unused part of that month.

If we reduce what the Free plan includes, or start charging for something that is free, we tell you at least 90 days before, by email and on this site, and you can download your stories before anything changes.

Changes that are not worse for you can take effect once we post them. Each version is posted here with its date.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
